Matt is an Old Age Psychiatrist and Adjunct Senior Lecturer at UNSW, Sydney. He trained both in the UK and Australia and recently completed his PhD in the field of vascular dementia. He has published extensively on clinical subjects including late-life depression, mild cognitive impairment and dementia.
Matt has been working as a Consultant Psychiatrist for over a decade, across several large Sydney teaching hospitals. He also continues to support regional patients with a regular clinic in Coffs Harbour.

He has extensive experience and expertise in helping people over the age of 65 with mental health difficulties and cognitive disorders. This includes the assessment and treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar and psychotic disorders, as well the management of cognitive impairment, dementia and associated conditions.

Matt works collaboratively with patients and their families to understand their unique situation and will often recommend treatment in multiple modalities including medication, lifestyle changes and psychological interventions.
