Dr Ricardo Farago


Dr Farago is an experienced Psychiatrist who graduated from the University of Sydney, with residency years at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, followed by a period in general practice. Dr Farago began working in Psychiatry in 1995 at St Vincent’s Hospital followed by Concord Hospital and then Justice Health in criminal forensic psychiatry. He also held positions as VMO at Prince of Wales, St George and Sutherland Hospitals working in consultation liaison psychiatry and acute community teams.

Over the last 5 years, Dr Farago has been involved in teaching GPs regarding the treatment of depression, management of personality disordered patients and the use of antipsychotics. Currently, Dr Farago is treating adolescents as well as adults, in various areas including ADHD,
anxiety, depression, psychiatric sequelae of medical disorders. He also has an interest in working in the area of medico legal assessment of patients regarding personality disorders in family law cases.
