Dr Louis Ereve
Dr Louis Ereve is a general adult outpatient Psychiatrist working in the Northern Beaches community in Sydney. He has experience in the assessment and management of mental illness in both inpatient and outpatient settings including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic illness and personality disorders. Dr Ereve has a special interest in the management of early psychosis in youth and young adults, and has a passion for assisting the recovery and growth of young people. He has experience working in youth psychosis teams in both NSW health and Headspace. Additionally, he has worked with mothers with perinatal at the mother and baby unit at St John of God private hospital in Burwood NSW.
Dr Ereve carried out his medical training in Sydney, NSW with experience working in Western Sydney, Inner West Sydney, Nepean Blue Mountains and the Northern Beaches. His approach has an emphasis on recovery-oriented treatment, collaboration, strong therapeutic alliance, risk management and detail in both assessment and management. His goals include reducing stigma, advocating for people with mental illness and working closely not only with patients but also families, general practitioners, NGOs and other health professionals. Dr Ereve also has experience both teaching and assessing psychiatry medicine skills to medical students at the University of Sydney.
