Dr Hannah Choi

Dr Hannah Choi is a general adult Psychiatrist with extensive work and training experience in managing a wide range of mental health disorders in both inpatient and community settings. Dr Choi has worked in public as well as private health systems over the years and received the fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2018.
Highlights of work experience include managing perinatal patients at Mother Baby Unit at St John of God Burwood Hospital; treating mood and anxiety disorders through psychotherapy at the UNSW Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression (CRUfAD) at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney; and assessing and managing complex mood disorders at the Mood disorders unit at Northside clinic.
Dr Choi is committed to deliver excellent patient care that is evidence-based, patient-centred, and the Recovery model oriented. She endeavours to have her personal values reflected in her clinical practice, which include compassion, honesty, respect, and accountability. Dr Choi believes in the importance of collaborating with patients, families, carers and GPs as well as other health professionals and NGOs in diagnosing and managing mental health difficulties.
Dr Choi currently has consulting rooms at St John of God Burwood Medical Centre and has admitting rights at St John of God Burwood Hospital, including their Mother Baby Unit (the only mother-baby inpatient unit available in NSW).
